American Refrigeration Supplies operates 30 locations across the South Western states of California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, as well as maintaining 4 outlets in Virginia. These 34 stores all offer a high standard of customer service, rooted in a tradition stretching back over 60 years.

The company began life as J. Carl White Refrigeration Supplies Distributor Company in 1940, based in Phoenix, Arizona. The entire company was acquired by Bill Miessemer in 1945 and the name "American Refrigeration Supplies" was coined. The company has continued to grow through a mixture of acquisition and opening of new stores, to the thriving network that operates today. From the $5000 inventory at the original store in 1945, the company now holds inventory in excess of $25,000,000.

A commitment to offer the top quality products in HVAC/R has led the company to stock over 17,000 items from over 300 different vendors. The "One Stop Shop" concept is one which is enthusiastically promoted in ARS and has propelled it to number 62 in the Supply House Times Premier 150.

The publication of the ARS catalog is an eagerly awaited event. The catalog is so popular that suppliers enter a lottery draw to win space.
